Jay Ginewsky has owned and operated The Whisk Caterers since 1976. After 32 years in the food business, Jay has developed strong relationships with America’s best providers of quality ingredients. He has also traveled the world and knows how food should taste at its origins. “The key to quality is starting with the best available ingredients and having the knowledge to bring them together to achieve the best possible end product.”
Jay provides more than just good food to each event. He brings expertise in all aspects of party organization. Jay is known for his good sense of humor and for setting his clients at ease during the planning process.
Jay’s specialties include exquisite combinations of comfort foods and exotic ingredients. Whether you are looking for a simple buffet dinner or nine-course tasting menu, Jay and his staff can provide it.

Jane Ginewsky, Maitre D'
and Event Coordinator
Jane Ginewsky, Jay’s wife, has been an incomparable asset to The Whisk for many years. An elegant, informed Maitre D’, and co-owner of The Whisk, Jane provides the host/hostess and guests with a sense of comfort and a level of security that their event is on target and running smoothly. Serving as a gracious point person, she communicates with the kitchen while coordinating with the wait staff and bartenders regarding the critical timing of each event.
Jane’s background in corporate customer relations and many years in food services gives her a unique perspective on coordinating events, and gives her a natural, gentle touch with people.
